Day 1: Norfolk HotelOn arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a representative and taken to the city's finest hotel, the Norfolk. For those arriving earlier, a variety of local sightseeing attractions can be pre-booked.
Accommodation: Guests accommodation is at Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi's finest and best known hotel. The luxuriously furnished rooms have an en suite bathroom with bath and shower, a mini bar, TV and radio, direct dial telephone and air-conditioning.
This Kenya hotel's facilities include a swimming pool, a hair and beauty salon, health club and the Lord Delamere Terrace and Bar is a famous meeting place in Nairobi, where drinks and light meals are served continuously from morning until midnight. Days 2 and 3: Samburu Serena Safari LodgeA dramatic morning flight from Nairobi skirts the glaciers of Mount Kenya and then plunges on Kenya's near desert Northern Frontier. The great Ewaso Nyiro River cuts through the desert in Samburu National Park, and the surrounding veld blooms, attracting large amounts of game. You can expect to see some of the rare animals of the Park, including the beautiful reticulated Giraffe, and Grevy's Zebra. This area is also home to a prolific bird life.
Accommodation: Guests will be accommodated at the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge which has luxury rooms in pretty timber cottages with african decor and traditional safari colours. Guest room facilities include fans, direct dial telephone and mosquito nets. Day 4: Sweetwaters Tented CampOn day 4 of your Kenya vacation package, you leave the lowland veld and drive up Mount Kenya, past the colourful traditional villages. You arrive at the private Sweetwaters Tented Camp for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing, including a visit to the Jane Goodell Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Your can also enjoy an optional night drive in the evening.
Accommodation: Sweetwaters Tented Camp accommodation is provided in luxuriously appointed tents. Each tent has a thatched roof, an en-suite bathroom and it's own verandah with views over the waterhole and snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya. Day 5: Sarova Lion Hill LodgeToday, you leave the highlands for a breathtaking morning drive that crosses the Equatorial Line and arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park for a mid day game drive. This park is famous for its thousands of pink hued Flamingo, Rhino and Rothschild Giraffe.
Accommodation: Guests are accommodated at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in chalets overlooking Lake Nakuru. A variety of cuisine can be enjoyed at the Flamingo Restaurant which overlooks the pool and lounge.
Activities at this Kenya lodge include game drives, a relaxing pool and indoor games such as table tennis, darts and pool. Days 6 and 7: Mara Safari ClubToday, you depart for Kenya's best park, the Masai Mara. The drive to the Masai Mara is truly spectacular. You arrive at the permanent tented camp, the Mara Safari Club in time for lunch before you start on your 2 day extensive game viewing experience.
Accommodation: Mara Safari Club boasts tented accommodation with four poster beds and en suite facilities. The main building houses the lounge, wildlife library, bar and dining room.
The Mara is home to a large diversity of wildlife, so expect to see big game like black maned Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, and plains game like Gazelle and Antelope. There will be time to visit the Maasai village and even book an optional game walk. Day 8: DepartOn the last day of your Kenya vacation you will be transferred to the Masai Mara Airstrip to connect with your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by road to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward flight. Included:
