Think of it, a truly authentic East African safari without crowds and tourist mini buses, just boundless game in an extensive and exclusive-use concession of land between the Masai Mara National Reserve, Serengeti National Park and the Loliondo Reserve.

In July and August a staggering event occurs, the Kenya Wildebeest migration, millions of animals move north in search of lush grass, they return again in October. Guests at Cottars 1920s Camp have an exclusive view of this annual spectacle.

The camp is located in a private concession at high altitude in an unfenced landscape without man-made structures. This area has remained wild and untamed; there has been no interference or manipulation by man of any kind. Guests are guaranteed privacy and an abundance of wildlife, with high success in Big Five game viewing.

Climate

This area is characterised by warm days and cool nights without any humidity.

Directions to Cottars 1920s Camp

The camp has its own airstrip for private charters; otherwise the closest airstrip is Keekorok which is a 2 hour transfer to / from the camp. There are regular scheduled flights from various centres to the Masai Mara on a daily basis.
