Ol Kanjau Tented Safari Camp is located between the swamps of the Amboseli National Park, Kenya and the forests of Kilimanjaro. Southeast Kenya is the largest wildlife rich area in the country and includes Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks, the Chyulu Hills and greater Amboseli.
Through conservation and protection from poachers, drought and human behaviour, the Elephants of Amboseli National Park, Kenya are some of the oldest and biggest. They have been the subject of many studies over the years. They are fascinating and like the Chimpanzee and Gorilla, African Elephant use extraordinary mammalian intellect and social skill to endure.
Greater Amboseli is imbued with a distinct cultural richness which comes from the pastoral Ilkisongo Maasai. The principal landowners of this area are the traditional Maasai people; they are the traditional custodians of the Greater Amboseli wildlife wealth.
