In between game drives and nature walks, guests here on a Kenya vacation safari can enjoy “Out of Africa” dinners and bush breakfasts. Champagne sundowners at Kudu Point are a highlight and also cultural interactions with local communities. There is a small gift shop at the lodge stocking memorable souvenirs, clothing and books.
Those who like to self-drive on a Kenya vacation can do so in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary which has a number of well marked routes; rangers are available as escorts if required.
The Sanctuary is home to Elephant, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard, Buffalo, Giraffe and Zebra and many more. Birding is very good with over 300 species of bird including Ostrich, Eagle and Vulture. Close by is the Tsavo West National Park which is famous for its huge Elephant herds, their skins stained red from dust bathing in the ochre coloured sand.
