Tortilis takes its name from Acacia Tortilis, an umbrella thorn tree. This Kenya game lodge is located in a woodland area just outside Amboseli National Park. The lodge has 17 en-suite tents and 1 family house all luxurious, spacious, and eco-friendly.
The thatched structures house the main lounge, bar and dining area which are built from natural materials and elegantly furnished. Everywhere, there are the views of Kilimanjaro mountain's snow capped magnificence.
Amboseli is known for its elephants, some of the largest to be found in Africa. Guests here can take daily guided game drives in an open 4 wheel drive and wonderful bush walks adjacent to the park with one of the lodges expert Maasai guides.
In the camp there is a pool and a masseuse for relaxing times between activities, guests can also visit a Maasai manyatta (village) for cultural insights. Bush meals and sundowners are a delight for spectacular views and sunsets.
